The Avon Valley Youth Choir was founded by Chris and Olivia Sparkhall to give talented, young singers the chance to sing in a choir consisting entirely of people their own age and, for some, to experience opportunities which might otherwise not exist for them. It aims to bring together the best singers from the local area with choir members joining through invitation. Many choir members have grade 8 singing, some are bound for music college, and the choir offers frequent opportunities to perform in solo roles. In addition to being talented young singers, many are also accomplished instrumentalists.



AVYC Opera 

AVYC supporters also have the opportunity to hear some of the best young singers in the choir performing solo opera arias. An evening of sophistication and musical pleasure awaits those who join us for this event. With several of the choir members now studying singing at some of the UK's top conservatoires this is an opportunity not to be missed.
